Super scales. Really easy to read and loads of informationGreat scales to help anyone looking to track or lose weight.
I have previously used a couple of budget scales on my weight loss journey, which did the basics well but were inconsistent when it came to more detailed measures on BMI and Body Fat.
I jumped at the opportunity to receive the scales to test in the hope of getting more information to help my personal weight loss journey.
You can see the superior quality of the scales from the moment you take them out of the box. I started my weight loss journey at 130kg and was always nervous I was going to break my scales. These shout quality.
Set up is simple. Batteries in the box, quick links to download the app and videos links in the app if are still struggling. Everything connects through Bluetooth. The process is super slick and super fast. I'm not super tech savvy and the whole process took no more than 5 minutes.
On to the measurement. You really do get what you pay for. The information is live on the app in an instant and there is lots to digest. If you are just looking to track weight, it does this well, with supporting graphs. The scales really show their value when you look at the other measures. I've never been small so it was good to understand better how fat and muscle is concentrated and has helped track, post exercising when my weight hasn't gone down has fast as I'd hoped, I can now see gains in muscle and other areas.

Great way to educate your familyWeight can often be a taboo subject, especially with the negative associaton with body image. However, we used the modules available on these scales as a topic of conversation with our six year old to help educate about weight, calories, muscle, etc. We found that it was fun to use the scales and track the measurements on the app. The functionality is super and the connectivity from the scales to the smart phone was super quick and stable.

Excellent scales to keep me on track!The TANITA scale looks very cool and and is well build. It was easy to set-up following the instructions and App set-up was easy too. I was able to create individual user profiles quickly for my family and it is easy to select them and review the results of measurements and refer back to historical measurements too. The measurements for body fat, body type, muscle mass & water are great and as I am losing weight currently it is great to track progress. For the children they have been interested in their own measurements and enjoyed discussing about their muscle mass, especially our 12 year old daughter. The wireless link up with the App is great and intuitive to use. It took 2-3 measurements for the scale to measure consistently it seemed but then after that it was and is consistent. My daughter thought the scales were impressive given she finds this sort of stuff boring normally and actually asked questions about the details and how to increase bone density for example. We were very happy to have recieved this product for testing and will use it each week as part of a body’s transformation program!

Easy to use and lots of informationI was given the opportunity to test this product and am glad I was. Until now I’ve always used a standard set of scales, in fact we have had ours for about 10 years, so was excited to try a set that are clearly intended to be far superior.
The scales themselves are lightweight and easy to use and carry, the only thing I’d say about appearance is that a choice of colour would be good as I wouldn’t choose this pale pinkish colour myself; I felt they could look a little more sophisticated/ sleek for the price. The app was easy to set up and my husband, 7 year old son and I quickly had a profile each.
The app was very family friendly, and my son has really enjoyed finding out he is essentially ‘pure muscle’ as he called it, after seeing his muscle mass each week compared to his body mass. The information and charts are easy to read and it was interesting to track my weight and BMI as I’m on a diet. I definitely found it more useful to weigh myself only once or twice a week as there is a lot of information to keep track of, and my husband has found the same. As he goes to the gym, he was interested in seeing the longer-term impact of the fitness changes he has been making and has found the scales great for that as they’re so informative. Contrary to a previous review, we did not find that figures fluctuated drastically/ were unreliable.
I think these scales are a great way for us all to find out more about our body composition and we will be continuing to use them weekly.Posted on

They're OK - not sure they're a long term productWhen I received these scales for testing purposes, I was really looking forward to having a tool where my family can keep a track of their health, and these scales are very good at keeping readings for things such as weight, BMI and body mass really easy.
My biggest challenge so far has been syncing the app with the scales, I find the whole process quite confusing, slow and clunky, and for an expensive set of scales I was expecting speed and ease. The tracking side of the app is brilliant, but the actual weighing/reading taking through the app is a pain, and I did find that this put me off using the scales a bit.
I really like how you can see profiles easily on the scales and on the app, and I like how the scales look and feel - premium.
Being able to track my daughter's weight and body mass is really important to me, and I like that I can (eventually) have the readings sent to my phone, to check week on week the changes.Posted on

A mixed bagI was given the opportunity to test the BC-333LE scales over the summer and was intrigued by the additional features that this product has. As someone who is only used to using a bog standard set of scales to monitor my weight, both my husband and I were keen to learn more about our health through using the scales and the associated app.
When the scales arrived, I have to admit that I was disappointed by their appearance as it looks cheap and feels like a toddler’s clunky plastic toy. Nevertheless, I was keen to start using it so followed the instructions diligently. I had no issues with the initial set-up and found the instructions straightforward and easy to use. My phone, however, had different ideas. I have a new iPhone so didn’t expect any issues after installing the app, but for some reason I could not get the app to “talk” to the scales. I decided, after trying a few times without success to try to use the scales as a guest. Although this worked and provided me with my weight, the other measurements were given in quick succession and does not store them for you to look at in more detail so I was frantically trying to write each one down. The booklet said that the order of the results is in keeping with the order of the icons in the book, but this was confusing and didn’t seem to correlate. I decided that using it as a guest was pointless unless you have an amazing memory or were only really interested in your weight.
After persevering with the set up, both my husband and I were able to finally get the app to talk to the scales. This (once set up) was quick and easy to use, so every day it was an easy way of getting my results. I liked this very much as well as the fact that all my results were stored on my app so I could have a look at each one in turn and learn more about them and how this affects my health. What I was not keen on, however, was the fluctuation with all of the results other than the weight. Both my husband and I found the weight to be consistent, although being a UK size 10 female, having the app tell me every day that I was overweight was depressing and potentially harmful to someone with low self esteem.
All other measurements seemed to differ drastically from day to day i.e. one day I had a metabolic age of 27. The next it was 40? My husband’s body fat changed from 7% to 17% within the space of two minutes when he decided to take a second reading as the initial one was so different from the previous day. The scales were kept in the same position and measurements were taken at the same time each day, so we were consistent. The scales were not. Measurements other than general weight seemed very arbitrary.
I tried using the scales with both my children, which was easy to set up additional profiles, although my eldest child wanted to have a look at the results on the app and was concerned that it said he was underweight. As an anxious child, I did not feel this was helpful to him or information that would help him in any way so we stopped both boys using the scales.
Overall, they work well as weighing scales, but all other measurements for us were inconsistent and very random.Posted on

I like these scalesI was excited to receive these scales and test them out, I received them for testing purposes. My first impression was that they are smart, neat and look high quality, I like the design, style and colour of them. Firstly, I opened the instructions and was quite overwhelmed with the amount of instructions, I didn’t think they were fully clear as there’s a complex instruction manual plus a sheet of instructions. I then attempted to begin the set up process, and despite following instructions the scales did not do what the instructions indicated they would, the screen went off quickly and didn’t give me enough time to work out what to do next. I had to attempt the set up several times and I still wasn’t sure that it was correctly done. So this part of the scales I wasn’t impressed with and found very confusing, difficult and time consuming which was unfortunate. However, once the product was connected to my phone it started to make a bit more sense, and look more clear and become an enjoyable user experience. The Bluetooth connect easily, that part was thankfully simple! The custom settings and designs are clever and great! It’s great to be able to switch between users for the whole family to use, and the whole concept of the scales working out percentages is very clever and innovative. I believe the scale is accurate, to the best of my knowledge. My children like the novelty of weighing themselves and knowing the numbers and as a parent it’s good to be able to keep an eye on these measurements to check they are healthy in that way.

Overall, it is a very good scale if you are looking to improve your general health by monitoring your weight.The scale came packaged nice and secure and when I opened the scale, I thought that it would look great in our bathroom as it was very sleek and modern and stylish. The fact that batteries were included saved you from having to search for them and simplified the process of setting up the scale. Finding the app was simple, and following the download instructions was simple to do. The scale was set up and ready to use within five minutes.It takes very little time to create profiles for each member of the family. With the help of the app, you can monitor your weight and track your progress by connecting the scale to your phone via Bluetooth. This is very motivating. The scale uses electrodes to provide a detailed body composition, the scale is accurate. Not many scales have the option to measure muscle mass for young children, and the children enjoyed the novelty of the scale and learning about their body composition. I received this product for testing, but it didn't influence my decision about the review.

Perfect for all the family to use including the little onesI received this product to trial for me and the family .
When the product arrived I was a little on the fence as I did think the product cost was quite expensive for a pair of scales, however I was impressed at the good design modern and fits within any bathroom - it’s also quite trendy too.
They came with batteries included too so these were easy to fit in and use, and I felt they were easy to use and set up following the initial instructions in the box,
The app was easy to download and set up on my phone, I enjoyed this part as the children could also get involved and enjoyed using the app on many occasions, so they could see process and updates too, they really like them.
And now want to check their weight daily.
The design is very up to date and modern, neatly finished with no sharp edges or danger to children.
Overall a great set of scales for all the family - well designed and easy to use process and update app on your phone.Posted on

Great family scalesI received this product for testing purposes. My first impressions was that I really liked the colour and the scales looked and felt like they’re good quality and they look nice in my bathroom. It took some time to set up the scales and the app but once I had set them up I found the app to be really user friendly. The whole family have used the scales and we all like the muscle mass measurement function and my son thought it was really interesting The scales seem to be really accurate and are easy to use. The wireless function/ bluetooth connection works well. Overall I’m really happy with these scales and would recommend them.
